Whether you're a native or a transplant, this workshop will explore the concept of home, it's impact on identity as well as the courage it takes to be you. 


Terrie Silverman is the founder of Creative Rites Workshops & Coaching. She has been teaching writing and performance for fourteen years to groups and individuals to release your inner-critic, access your authentic voice and become a brave, moving storyteller.

Silverman also has a Solo-Show Master Class and has helped develop and direct a number of award-winning solo shows. She loves helping people discover that they have a voice and that their story matters. As a solo performer, poet and playwright, Silverman's work has been presented at various theatres and arts festivals in Southern California, including The HBO WorkspaceKPFK RadioThe World Arts and Cultures Department at UCLABeyond BaroqueLos Angeles Theatre CenterHighways, the Azatlan Center for International Women's Day and The Edge of the World Theater Festival

Silverman's career highlights include working with The Bread and Puppet Theater, as well as dying onstage with Sir Ian McKellan.
