Coming from Oakland, Vicki chronicles her journey of healing a riff  with her father during his last days who had disowned her for being queer 20 years earlier.
Vicki Dello Joio is a performer and director, as well as a master teacher and transformational speaker. "What's Wrong with a Mouse?" originally an improvised piece that Joio created for the launch of her book, The Way of Joy, has been performed across the country to outstanding critical acclaim. She most recently performed at the Fringe Festivals in New York and San Francisco as a part ofTwo Women, Two Stories which won two awards for sold-out performances, as well as in Oakland and New Jersey this past year.


Vicki is a current member of the Oakland-based improvisational company, Living Arts Playback Theatre Company. She is also the director and dramaturge of every "21 Days Cancer, Yoga and Me" performed at last year's LAWTF by Stephanie Anne Johnson.

 
A founding member of the women's theatre company, Common Threads, which toured in Europe in the mid-eighties, Joio performed her previous one woman show, "A Mime's Eye View" at Theatre Rhinoceros. She has been a performing member of Living Arts Playback Theatre for over 15 years.
